The LM Thapar School of Management (LMTSM) carries forward the inspiring vision of Shri L. M. Thapar (1930–2007) — a distinguished industrialist, philanthropist, and nation-builder who believed that education must go beyond technical competence to nurture wisdom, integrity, and innovation.
Rooted in the illustrious heritage of the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, established in 1956, LMTSM was founded in 2007 to redefine management education through a unique blend of rigour, responsibility, and relevance. The school began its journey in Patiala and, in 2013, moved to its state-of-the-art 26-acre campus at Dera Bassi, designed to inspire ideas, collaboration, and global ambitions.
Set amid a peaceful environment in the industrial corridor of Dera Bassi, with close proximity to Chandigarh Airport and major industry hubs, LMTSM offers an ecosystem where learning meets real-world engagement.
