The Placement Cell at LM Thapar School of Management (LMTSM) works as a bridge between students and the industry. It guides students in building their careers, connects them with leading companies, and organizes campus recruitment drives, internships, and training sessions. The cell also helps students prepare through resume reviews, mock interviews, and skill-building workshops, ensuring they’re industry-ready by the time they graduate.

PLACEMENT HIGHLIGHTS


The LMTSM Placement Cell successfully facilitated recruitment opportunities with 89 companies, including 38 new recruiters this year. A total of 151 students have been placed , with abalanced gender ratio of 49% male and 51% female. The season also saw 17 pre-placement offers being rolled out, and the highest package reached 24.81 LPA, reflecting strong industry trust and student performance.

Placement Process at LMTSM

The placement process at LMTSM is structured to help students showcase their skills and interact closely with potential employers. It typically includes the following stages:

  • Pre-Placement Talk (PPT):

    Companies begin with a session to introduce themselves, share details about their work culture, job roles, growth opportunities, and the selection process. This helps students understand the organisation and clarify any doubts before applying.

  • Aptitude Test:

    Shortlisted students appear for a written or online test designed to assess their logical reasoning, quantitative skills, and verbal ability. This helps recruiters shortlist candidates with strong analytical abilities.

  • Group Discussion (GD):

    Students who clear the test take part in group discussions, where their communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills are evaluated.

  • Interviews (Technical and HR):

    The final round usually involves one or more interviews. Technical interviews assess domain knowledge and problem-solving abilities, while HR interviews focus on personality, motivation, and cultural fit.
