Paryawaran 2.0 was organized under the aegis of SOJHI society, Centre of Sustainability, Innovations & Strategy, LMT PRME Student chapter & Integrated Village Development student project. In total, the event had 200 participants (students, farmers, experts & faculty). PARYAVARAN 2.0 is initiative-ideology of LMTSM to promote environmental friendly & sustainable practices.
The expert session included Mr. Amandeep Singh Sandhu, Founder – Sojhi Charitable & Welfare Society, Alumnus – LMTSM, Member, Management Mount Litera Zee School, Ludhiana. Dr. Vinod Kumar Bhatt, Principal Scientist and Head, Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC) Research Centre, Chandigarh. Dr. Charanjit Singh Aulakh, Director, School of Organic Farming, Punjab Agriculture University (PAU), Ludhiana
Dr. Karminderjit Ghuman (LMTSM), Dr. Rudra Rameshwar (LMTSM), & Dr. Geeta Arora (Associate Professor, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh), interacted with farmers, and students.
The participating institutes included Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Tangori, Mohali, Punjab, Shri Sukhmani Institute of Engineering and Technology & Hospital and Management, Derabassi, Punjab, ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.In total there were 50 farmer attendees from villages of Behra, Fatehpur, Rampur Sanian, Bhagwanpura attended the event.

M.A.D Night 2k19

The Music, Art and Dramatics night 2k19 is the most awaited event of LMTSM . The students were all pepped up for the “Carnival theme”. The first day of the event was concert night where Band - 'Sharma Ji ka ladka' was featured lead by Mudit Sharma and Paras Sharma. The second day was solely focused on showcasing the in house talent of institute’s talent. The major attraction for the day was RJ Jassi from 94.3 My FM.


Athletic Meet 2019

18th March , 2019 :Inter-house Athletic Meet was held at the campus which showcased events ranging from Relay Races , High jump, Shot-put and Javelin throw.
Exacting timing and measurement of performances are a vital part of athletics, not only to determine winners at the meet in question but also to provide marks that can be compared for record purposes. For this purpose the organizing team had arranged for professional referees who facilitated a smooth functioning of the events.


NSS: Blood Donation Camp

9th February, 2019: With the common vision “Tears of mother cannot save child life but a drop of blood can” of the NSS society, LMTSOM participated Blood Donation Camp where Dr VikasChauhan (Medical Officer, LMTSOM Campus) helped the unit to connect with the serious people of the Panchkula Blood Bank Civil Hospital. Dr.Rudra Rameshwar , Associate Professor at LM Thapar School of Management and NSS Program Officer.
LMTSOM Unit 12 along with his team have contributed to make the program successful. The target given was of 70 units but with great efforts of NSS Team collect 73 units of blood were collected. There was a separate desk for the people who wanted to pledge their organs. In total 18 people filled the form for pledging their organs. Blood donors were given refreshment and were taken care of throughout the event.


Workshop on Digital Marketing

24th February 2019 : With the aim of academia and the corporate world working together to build a skilled MBA professionals, the school conducted a four-day Skill Development workshop on Digital Marketing.The students learned about Search Engine Optimization, Facebook Ads, Google Ads and Google Analytics.coordinated by Mr.Amit Kumar Bharadwaj, Associate Professor Information Systems Management .
To help students leverage these upcoming career opportunities, the Skill Development Workshop on Digital Marketing was conducted by two Alumni of L M Thapar School of Management- Shubham Khurana and Akshay Hooda and was coordinated by Dr. Amit Kumar Bhardwaj. Mayank Setia from Digithink Technologies was also present for sharing his experience and knowledge with the participants.


Advance Excel and VBA

3rd March,2019: A three- day “Advanced Excel and VBA” Workshop was conducted by Centre of Excellence and Analytics which emphasized on enhacing student knowledge on MS Excel. The workshop was coordinated by Mr.Vipul Gupta, Associate Professor, Operations Management at LM Thapar School of Management. The workshop was conducted by Mr.Dhiraj Dev Phukan , CEO at Salesgasm and Edgele, prominent speaker and chair of several global conferences in cities namely New York, San Francisco, Melbourne, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Chicago, Washington DC and Los Angeles.


Workshop on Cyber- Security

March 30th , 2019 : A two-day workshop on “Cyber Security” was conducted by the Training and Development Cell in association with Mr.Amit Kumar Bharadwaj , Assistant Professor , Information Systems.
The workshop offered knowledge on Cyber Laws , Google Hacking , Social Engineering , Wi-fi Hacking , Steganography , SQL


Data Analytics with ‘R’

6th April 2019 : A three day workshop on “Data Analytics with ‘R’’ was conducted at LM Thapar School of Management , Derabassi , coordinated by Mr.Amit Kumar Bharadwaj, Assistant Professor, Information Systems.
The workshop offered Data Profiling, Data Cleansing and Data Imputation concepts with practical hands-on session. After getting the knowledge of how to handle data, next part of the workshop was to focus on the Predictive Analytics on structured data. Machine learning is a buzz word, hence this workshop is also offering learning of a machine learning tool Rattle.

Students stood 6th out of the 52 teams that participated in the Tata Crucible quiz event held at IISER Mohali


Inter-House Debate Competition

Inter House debate was organized by public speaking club of LMTSM for sole purpose to fill void of intellectual space & to provide a platform to students where they have chance to enhance their oratory skills & confidence.  Following were agendas

  1. Is government out to impound its autonomous status
  2. Statue of unity-Symbol of Pride or Wastage of money?
  3. Universal basic income-can it really helps to eradicate poverty & inequality?
  4. Business lobbying-Should it is made legal in India?

Tough agendas were decided so that participants engage in depth research in agenda. Dr. Ankit Mahindroo, Dr Gurparkash & Dr. Abhishek presided over as jury for event. House Globals won the competition and Best Orator award was shared between Yash (CSE) & Harsimar (MBA-2) as both of them immaculately kept their views forward. Closing speech was given by Founder & General secretary of the Orators i.e Tushar Luthra where he shared with audience the importance of public speaking and awareness about topics which not only help in job interviews & GDs but make you aware person in long run.

Her excellency, the President of Malta, Ms. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, met with LM Thapar School Of Management Dean, Dr. Padmakumar Nair recently. The duo discussed: Collaboration with University of Malta & LMTSM LMTSM's focus and initiatives on Renewable Energy for a sustainable future



17th,August 2018 Frosh Week 2K18 – The Student Induction Program turned out to be much more than an event to welcome the newcomes.
The Week commenced with a Flash Mob by the senior batch followed by multiple events like Scavenger’s hunt, Wear and Tear, House of Lords and Movie nights.
A series of dances, solo and duet singing performances, acts of drama mesmerized the audience.
The event was concluded with Prom Theme Fresher’s Party where Jayanti Khetarpal and Naman Kalra were declared as Miss and Mr. Freshers respectively.
The “Best House performed” was awarded to Entrepreneurial House.

13th August 2018 :Tushar Luthra(MBA II) and Gurpreet Narula (MBA-II) were first runner-up and won a prize money of Rs.1500 in the "Corporate Business Quiz", an inter-college management business quiz held at Amity Business School in association with NIPM, Punjab today in the total of 15teams.



14th October,2018 Avijith Mandhata won the “Best Alumni Award” in Efficycle 2018, a platform that provides the opportunity to the students to conceive, design and fabricate a three wheel configuration vehicle powered by human-electric hybrid power and capable of seating two passengers catering to the day to day mobility needs.




Student Marketing team represented LM Thapar School of Management in Zaika, the cultural cum food festival is being organized in Patiala, is a 2-day extravaganza and is scheduled to be organized on 8th & 9th September 2018.



The session “Know your Central Bank” was organised for the students to enhance their understanding about various functions and key features of RBI. Our student, Jaspreet Walia,along with school authorities helped in organizing the event which enriched the students’ knowledge beyond textbooks and curriculum.


SOJHI Charitable and Welfare Society

SOJHI Charitable and Welfare Society” was officially launched by students of LM Thapar School of Management on April 19th,2018 emphasizing on various agricultural issues faced by Punjab and farmers. The society has 11 founder members in helping the farmers on adopting latest farming trainings.
Former DG of CRRID, Prof.Sucha Singh Gill educated farmers about the latest farming techniques while Dr.H.S Dhaliwal, Director PAMETI,PAU and Mr.Somveer Singh Anand ,Founder Pind Fresh ,TEDx speaker addressed the audience about Stubble and Hydroponics Farming.
A very informative talk was also conducted by Dr.Mandeep Singh on Organic Farming and how can farmers produce maximum high quality crops without affecting the soil fertility.
Mr.Aman Sandhu, founder-SOJHI and student of LM Thapar School of Management shares that “SOJHI would have not been possible without the mentorship of Dr.Gurparkash Singh, Dr.Karminderjit Ghuman and Dr.Piyush Verma. With their support SOJHI Charitable and Welfare Society is becoming a bridge for companies to adopt villages. The target is to adopt 35 villages for the year 2018-19.”


KPMG - Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

KPMG, a professional service company and one of the big four organisations conducted a four day certified program on Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for the students from 17th March to 20th March
The programme aimed at improving competency of an individual to contribute towards organizational success through correct understanding of issues, make fact based decisions and rectify unwanted elements within a process.
A four day thorough 32 hour contact programme was designed with adaptive learning methodology.It oriented candidates towards fact based decision making, data usage to draw business conclusions, analyse current trends and matrices for their practical use, conduct in depth cause analysis and innovate for performance improvement.
Post completion of program and clearing of all mandatory tasks assigned during the session, students were issued a certification from KPMG.

The Venture Showcase 2018 was one of the most creative events which brought together various entrepreneurial ideas on 27th April,2018.
Students demonstrated the successful application of various venture ideas into working startups with revenue model and paying customers. During this semester wide process the students were closely mentored by Dr. Karminder Ghuman

Beginning of Connecting with New India “A Journey of 29 States & 7 UTs” – 7th October, 2016

India is changing, and this transformation can only be felt by connecting with it. We intend to document these vibrant colors of New India through a Pan-India journey of total 17566 km to be covered in 130 days and spending full one day in each of the two cities in 29 states and one day each in the Union Territory of India. During the visit, we will be visiting educational institutions, cultural hubs in different cities to interact with people and develop a documentary on transforming and emerging India in the post liberalized scenario.
